My Story
​ Johan Badenhorst has a background in Christian theology, religious studies, philosophy and biblical languages. His career has spanned pulpit, classroom, television studio and the stage. He has spent a lifetime crafting words. Now retired, he devotes himself more fully to writing and now feels he has the freedom to explore subjects of science, history and culture.
Johan has written a full length novel, Tsoenami, currently only available in his native Afrikaans, as well as On Being Born, a book dedicated to his mother. In this work, he reflects on the vital role of mothers in childbirth while also tracing the historical progress of medical science in this field. Both books are available on Amazon on paperback and as e-books.

Now in its final stages of production is his latest work with the provocative invitation, Let's Look At The Sun. He reflects: "As a minister and producer, I used to focus each advent on the Son--the Light of the World, but what about the sun itself? Often simply taken for granted, and yet vital to all life on earth." The book was conceived not as another advent, not in competition with the story of the Son, but as an invitation to be more intimately aware of the vital value of the Sun.

Johan thinks of this website as his writing garage where he works on his vehicles but also parks with pride the completed ones in the form of blogs and books.
